Clean Standard King Room, but encountered issues with overall cleanliness in common areas.

I had a lovely stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Brookshire, Katy Freeway By Ihg. The staff was particularly accommodating. they helped me with a crib for my room promptly. The hotel was brand new, clean, and the tile floors were a nice touch.

Breakfast could be improved.

Cleanliness issues are concerning—dirty showers and unwashed linens stood out during my stay. The breakfast experience was subpar with cold food and low staff attendance. Despite good AC and a comfortable bed, it fell short in key areas, leading to frustration rather than relaxation. Not recommended if hygiene is a priority.

The pool was disgusting, but the roll-in shower was super convenient.

The location was ideal for beach-goers, with easy access to nearby attractions and a variety of local dining options. The comfortable beds made it easy to relax after a long day out. We appreciated the quick problem resolution from the management regarding our requests.

Unfortunately, the pool area were not well-maintained, which was disappointing.

the pool was absoluteley disgusting, green water is not exactly inviting. and don't even get me started on the room, which smelled like old socks. additionally, i expected a little welcome gift for my inconvenience, but alas, nothing. it’s shocking how they disregard comfort, clearly a lack of concern for their guests’ dignity.

Unfortunately, the pool had clearly seen better days—it was green and uninviting, not something you'd want to jump into. The room came with a persistent smell that reminded me of old socks, despite the efforts to mask it with febreeze. In addition, the bathroom door in room 316 struggled to close properly, indicating some needed maintenance. Lastly, wheelchair access could use improvement with more mobility-friendly rooms and showers that are suitable.

This was just a prime choice for a weekend respite in Brookshire with best value for money ratio. The staff quickly provided me with a requested extra towel whenever I needed one, which was appreciated. Check the pool hours to get the most out of a nice swim.

The Standard King Room was comfy, especially with the Beautyrest mattress that made for a great night's sleep. I loved having full-size toiletries in the bathroom, which felt more luxurious. The A.C. worked well, keeping the room cool throughout the night.
